Pour l’Halloween le Théâtre Sainte-Catherine lève ses rideaux et dévoile le côté réprimé, sinistre, lugubre des sept péchés capitaux.

Une expérience théâtrale qui ne se passe qu’une fois par année pour vous montrer des choses abominables, Neighbours Productions et Le Nouveau International sont fiers de présenter: SIN.

Cette année marque la 7e expérience théâtrale hantée à Montréal.

Cette expérience théâtrale hantée est si unique parce que les acteurs qui en font partie ne savent jamais exactement ce qui va se passer pendant les spectacles. Nous avons seulement 12 heures pour transformer le théâtre entier en maison hantée alors les espaces où se déroulent les performances n’existent pas jusqu’à ce que ça commence. Des groupes de 10 personnes sont guidés à tour de rôle à travers le théâtre transformé et sont témoins des interprétations les plus viscéraux et instinctives de nos acteurs inspirés par les sept péchés capitaux. Chaque chambre est créée pour donner une expérience absolument singulière, remarquable, effrayante, trépidante, inattendue. De plus, toutes les performances de chaque soir sont distinctes les unes des autres puisque notre distribution interagit avec l’audience, ce qui amène à la visite guidée et à l’expérience un élément de spontanéité essentiel.

 

« Neighbours Productions » comprend Rolo Zuniga et Sandi Armstrong.

Rolo Zuniga, un artiste multimédia qui produit du théâtre expérimental à Montréal depuis 7 ans.

Il a rencontré Sandi Armstrong lorsque les deux vivaient dans le même bloc appartements. L’immeuble bizarre a été une grande source d’inspiration pour leur première maison hantée, qui a eu lieu dans les appartements à Rolo et Sandi ainsi que dans ceux de leurs voisins.

L’évènement a été si populaire qu’ils attendaient avec impatience l’année d’après pour le remonter, ainsi que toutes les années suivantes.

Sandi Armstrong est une metteuse en scène, professeure, actrice, improvisatrice, et maintenant réalisatrice avec Neighbours Productions.

Après avoir monté la maison hantée dans leur bloc appartements pendant deux ans, Rolo et Sandi l’ont déménagée au nouveau Théâtre Sainte-Catherine pour pouvoir agrandir et améliorer l’expérience.

Neighbours Productions a comme mandat d’interagir continuellement avec leur audience et de démontrer le côté obscur et sinistre du spectacle.

What makes this Haunted House so unique is that even the performers don’t know exactly what will happen in the show. We only have 12 hours to transform the entire theatre into the Haunted House and so that means the rooms in which tours go through don’t even exist until the show starts. The groups of 10 that go though the house are privy to the most visceral, instinctive performances by our actors. Each room is created for a unique spine tingling experience. Also, each performance is different every night because our cast interacts with the audience, and what the audience brings to the tour is an essential element to the experience.

 

Neighbours Productions is Rolo Zuniga and Sandi Armstrong.

Rolo Zuniga is a multi-media artist. He started producing experimental theatre in Montreal 7 years ago.

It was then that he met his partner Sandi Armstrong. Together, while living in the same unusual apartment building they were inspired to create a Haunted House using their and their neighbours’ apartments.

The event was so successful that they couldn’t wait to produce it again.

Sandi Armstrong is a director, teacher, actor, improvisor and now producer with Neighbours Productions.

2 years after they produced the first Haunted House, Rolo and Sandi moved to the new, larger venue of Theatre Ste. Catherine.

 

Neighbours Productions has a mandate to continually interact with their audience and to show the dark side of spectacle.
